Tile...

So my dad decided to changed the front yard a bit. those of you who went to my house before probably know that it's pretty fancy...except for two things. The gray concrete front of my door and the light tan cement on the right. oh wait...make that 3. The garage ramp is pretty dull too.

anyway, we decided to put these red stone tiles over the gray concrete. So we got a bunch of stone tiles and mortar and tools and etc and got to work. started 2 days ago and it's half done. so far so good. there's some flowery pattern tiles and we put them in squares and the finished result under the porch light was really cool.

but, nothing is easy. especially not that kind of manual labor. Squatting there for hours spreading wet mucky mortar was not fun. so much gunk everywhere. hands...arms...etc.

and mortar makes your skin dry afterwards. and it's REALLY heavy, and hard to mix.
...i hate mortar. D:
good luck.

we had this mix thingy that could be connected to a electric drill. mixing with hand is hard. It's like trying to mix a gallon of peanut butter that just came out of the freezer.

There's your tan :P
Now you don't have to go back to school, or go to hs, I should say, pasty white :P (yeach)
And work your arm muscles! Yay for frozen peanutbutter! :D

oh yes, squeezing the trigger on the drill is so straining on my arms xD
