Mosquito Ringtone

I was using the Mosquito at the end of class today. It was funny how a lot of people started reacting and looking around. I was blaming it on Kevin but then Shraman just HAD to ruin the fun and point out it was me -.-

For those of you who don't know. The mosquito ring tone is a ring tone used by a lot of people for various purposes.

The mosquito is an electronic device which emits an ultrasonic sound, similar to the buzz of a mosquito (approximately 17.4 kHz at 85dB) The device is typically heard by people less than 25 years of age because the ability to hear high frequencies deteriorates in humans with age .

It was originally designed to keep gangs from loitering near stores and businesses. Some teens, however, have found the once annoying sound can be used as a tool, and turned it into a ring tone that is inaudible to most adults.This ring tone became informally known among schoolchildren as "Mosquito".

However, if in such settings where this kind of ring tone is used, it can be made more audible if another tone of a different frequency, preferably inaudible to most (e.g. 22kHz), were broadcast simultaneously. Though I doubt many people would have something to produce that high of a pitch

If anyone want it (to annoy their friends or something) I can forwarded to your cell phone and you can then save it as a ring tone.
